Brazil vs Colombia
This evening, Brazil face Colombia, a team who are regarded in South America as much as the Europeans regard Ireland – good for an after-match party but unlikely to linger too long in a tournament. Colombia are coming to the Castelao in better form than the hosts and in James Rodriguez they have a better striker. Although we’d say Brazil are favourites, we cannot be too sure. Brazil were lacklustre versus Chile and depended heavily on Julio Cesar to get them through. Colombia breezed past Uruguay with some class.
Aaron Johnson’s Views:
Prediction: Brazil 1 – 1 Colombia (Match will be decided on penalties)
Man To Watch Out For: World Cup Revelation, James Rodriguez
Weak Link: Brazil’s lack of a good striker
Dr. Joe N.H.’s Views:
Prediction: Brazil 2 – 2 Colombia (Match will be decided on penalties)
Man To Watch Out For: Juan Cuadrado
Weak Link: Over-reliance on Neymar and James Rodriguez.
Food For Thought : Who will emerge as the true golden boy after this Match? Neymar or Rodriguez?
Last Meeting (2012) : Brazil 1 (Neymar) – 1 (Cuadrado) Colombia
